I'm not sure if the thread should go here, but I think it can be one.

Post here errors you've found in some posts in DYKgaming. They could be simple mistakes, or just plain incorrect. This isn't a hate thread, it's just goofs you guys let through. Nobody's perfect.

Anyways, here's mine:

Vivian is not a man. I have no screenshots to back me up, but just rewatch the game from the final fight on and you'll see what I mean.
During a scene in Twilight Town, the mother citizen says "what was that girl's name? Vivian." Also, in Goombella's letter to Mario, she refers to Vivian as "her". Not sure where you got the idea she wasn't a girl, but it's just an error.

The part about Birdo is true, though.

Well as long as we are disproving this did you know I have something that proves Birdo is a girl from a Japan only Nintendo game

Vivian is a man. It's very clear in the original japanese version. The reason they changed Vivian to a girl in the english translation is due to NoA being NoA. Think of the children!

About Birdy, though, can be true. The origin for Birdo being a man is from the instruction booklet from NES and since then a lot of things could've changed.

There are actually many birdo. That's my take on it. And Vivian is a guy. Stupid American censors...

The only official confirmation of Birdo's gender is in the Super Mario Bros. 2 manual. Vivian was born a man, as stated in the Japanese character description. The ending was likely referring to the fact that trans-gender people are referred to as whatever gender they identify themselves as.

Well now my knowledge of Nintendo lore has increased a bit.

That's less inaccurate and more just lacking information.

The purpose of a modchip is piracy. Most people who have a modchip I doubt actually bought games back then.

NoA always thinking about the children. Except that they're not always thinking aobut the children, but yes thinking of keeping awesome games on Japan and leaving the shit load of fuck to us here >
