How about a new Pokemon Snap game? Now, with over 500 pokemons and the Wii, we could make a really good looking game ^_^

I watched some videos of that. Not exactly what I was imagining, but not far off either. Also, that game looks kinda cool.

That would be amazing! Where do I throw my money?

Normal mode 1st Gym: (Brock examples)
Lv 14 Geodude
Lv 16 Onix

Hard mode 1st Gym: (again Brock)
Lv 18 Geodude
Lv 18 Sandshrew
Lv 22 Onix (holding leftovers) Wink

Basically taking a mix of Red/Blue with Kaizo Blue.

I believe Black and White 2 has this, when you complete the game you can play it again on a harder difficulty, or I believe you can play it from the start.
I'd make all GenI and GenII Pokémon have their Pokémon Stadium cries. Because basically they're GenV style cries and The oldies just stand out a lot due to its beeping nature
Takes place across Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions. You can actually get all of the Pokemon without needing to trade with REAL people, although NPC trades may be existent, or make a new game to get starters and such. It's completely revamped with huge cities filled with NPCs. It will play more like a traditional RPG, like an Elder Scrolls almost, first-person, high-res graphics (required because that will just make the immersion of the game so much better) and there will sort of be a quest system. Leveling up will be slightly different, with a higher capacity and wild Pokemon leveling up with you, but only to a certain point depending on the area. You can have a Pokemon walk around with you. There will also be a huge, non-linear, greatly branching storyline. You have the choice to join whatever region based "Team" there is, like you can join Team Rocket in Kanto and Aqua in Hoenn. TMs will once again be one use only, otherwise it really ruins to point of TMs. There will be Pokemon Training dojos for fast and easy grinding.
That's about all I can think of right now, if I think of anything I will edit it in, thanks for reading.
Two things I would definitely do:

1) The fire starter would NOT evolve into a fire-fighting type. Three generations now they have done that. Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar are all the same type. Where's the imagination?

2) There would be an area where you can specify the type and level of the Pokemon you are training, and have access to wild Pokemon that your type will be either super or regular effective against. This would make level grinding early on in the game easier. It could be set up like the safari zone where you can only take so many steps before getting booted out.

That would kind of ruin the whole self-exploration aspect of the game. It's fun to run around, finding the right training ground. Having that served on a platter would defeat the point.

I feel like there are times when I'm training for a gym and I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Example: Say I need an electric Pokemon up to a certain level, and the area with the highest level wild Pokemon I have access to is a cave. All ground and rock Pokemon, with an occasional bat that doesn't give a lot of experience. I'm stuck with either using an experience share, and leveling up my electric with another, or leveling it up in an area with weaker Pokemon. Either way I'm looking at longer level grinding than is necessary.

Generation 5 kind of fixed this by having a better distribution of experience points (and the Lucky Egg), but I still think this would be a nice touch.
If i were to run the next pokemon game,I'd be the most hated person on the planet cause i suck at making such a huge franchise.
I'd add the option to let player see the stats of wild Pokemon. Like a "Trainer Identify" function which lets you see the stats of Pokemon. It would save you "having to save > capture a crap ton of Timid Abras > Going to Pokemon storage box > seeing what crap you captured > restarting the game". You don't have to hope you caught the right nature Pokemon or a Pokemon with good stats and would be option for those who are into that.
Another one to add.
I would take away HMs. They don't need to be in Pokemon anymore. I don't know a single person who likes HMs. Nothing worse than making your way to a cave to find out you need a frikkin' Zubat to flash the area. Then getting further into the cave to realise you need to bring a Scraggy to use strength. We don't need that shi- anymore it's stupid and annoying. Keep the moves in the game but don't add exploration sections around those moves anymore. Sad

I think they should just get rid of the weaker HMs like Cut or Rock Smash. If not, then just make the moves more bearable to use, like having Rock Smash lower their defense 100% of the time or stuff like that. I think cut should work like Strength did in the Gen V overworld by having the rocks stay moved after you left.
I think cut should be a Normal/Grass move so it could be used against Water Types, and anything else that's weak, and it should do about 80 damage, so it wouldn't be useless, it would also need some sort of ability around it, such as Slash's Critical Hit Ratio, or Flinching.

Made me flinch and shiver reading that.

I agree with TheRealJDawgz and retrolinkx said. If HMs are in the game, at least make them useful in battle. Otherwise get rid of them. Flash is easily the worst HM and strength is if the most tedious annoying "progression-blocker" there is. Surf is good for exploring water so that can stay. Waterfall is pointless and not needed. Cut is pointless and useless. Fly is good outside of battle and Rock Smash is a crap move in and outside of battle.
