I mainly use cheats to just mess around in a game.

I'm sad to see most newer games, not have cheat codes anymore. I loved when a shooter had the big head cheat or some other wacky cheat.

You and I are exactly the same, I think you should at least play the game how it's ment to be played once before you start cheating.

I cheat in spore and age of empires other than that never

used to use the likes of god mode, all weapons and occasionally no clip back in the day for fun. Only cheat in single player games would never think of using them in multiplayer. They are fun when you get bored or have finished the game already.

Naw, man. Not anymore, at least. I did use quite bunch of those back in the day. I even have a Playstation Gamer's Mega Guide 1999 in addition to a couple of smaller PS2 guides, all of which are filled with cheats and tips.

Nowadays pretty much the only game I would cheat on is GTA. Even at that, I make a seperate save for my cheat game so I won't mess up my actual runthrough.

I only use cheats once I've beaten a game. That way they don't spoil the original experience, but I still get to run around slaughtering everything in god-mode.

Me too, I also use cheats to play again to get a prefect end.

I usually use cheats after having beaten the game.

For example, played through GTA : SA, then played through again with flying cars, endless ammo, infinite life, sausage-van, etc

Cheats were fun, then they completely died down this generation. Having fun with infinite health, big head mode, paintball bullets, being invisible, unlock all characters etc.

Now cheating stops you from getting achievements.

I cheat in The Sims. I want all the monies. And I sometimes use walkthroughs for Zelda when I feel like getting every little thing.

On the old Tony Hawk's pro skater games, and on pokemon with an action replay or gameshark, just to see what glitchy stuff happens.
