I think legend of Korra will be a much more serious story than last air bender. I love seeing the progression of technology in this almost steam punk 1920's Japanese style era. I have high hopes for the rest.

I agree with the much serious story. In the Last Air-bender, it felt more like a kids show. Even when Appa was kidnapped, they kept it from getting to depressing by making Sokka be tripping on hallucinogenic plants. I felt like they made Legend of Korra for the Fans who grew up watching Last Air-bender and are now in their teens.

Did anybody else, when
the boat blew up with Tarlock and Noatak on it and it showed the puff, thought "It's a giant mushroom, MAYBE IT'S FRIENDLY!"?
Yea i fucking want the second season to come now

After watching the episode again, I thought of that too. That was the most shocking part of the whole season. I was surprised they would actually show their deaths.
The finale blew my mind. I mean, TLA was great, but LoK is shaping up to be better. It has more intricate plotlines, and it's a bit... darker, I guess.
My only problem is Mako. I freaking hate that guy.

His fighting-style is really cool so I like him. I feel like he doesn't have much room for character improvement though.
I'm loving the dark feel of LoK. My stepmom hates that I watch cartoons, but I can't think of many shows that she watches that are about terrorism and racism. Booyah for adult themes. I don't think Mako is too bad, but I do agree that he doesn't have much room for character improvement. I'm also at a loss as to what the second season is going to be about. Any insights?
Well they're out of traditional elements, so I'm thinking it's either going to be Metal or Energy.
I have trouble rooting for the avatar in this show. Though the "equalists" are not good guys, to kill people over your want to keep your powers doesn't really give me the "goodguy" vibe.
