This was requested on that Vidya games thread, so I oblige.

I got fallout 1,3 and New Vegas.
I think I like New Vegas more for the story, the iron sights (as a gun nut I kinda demand that in my head), and the battle changes from Fallout 3 (minus shotguns). So, what's your personal favorite and why?

Edit: This is relevant.

As per SERIOUSLY's request, here is a Fallout thread for all you Vault-dwellers to converse with one another in a calm and peaceful way.

If you like one game or more in the franchise then please respect others' opinions on their favorite game(s).
I prefer New Vegas personally. And, since I don't give much care for accurate portrayal when it comes to guns, I dislike iron sights, and always go without it on. The story for the game is something I enjoy, and I actually feel like every day in game is a fight for survival. I've tried Hardcore mode once. Never again until I get better at managing my time and inventory wisely. Hardcore mode is serious kick in the ass for me, since I thought I was pretty good at not dying. I've never played Fallout 1, though I have read up on most of the story from it, so I have an understanding.
Beat ya to it.

I'd recommend one of the modern one's GoTY editions. The old ones are tedious and kind of slow for people like me who came from the later ones so interpret that as you will. Its a great, somewhat calmer, slower, open world fps rpg, kind of like a modern serious borderlands without sprinting.
See, I think Fallout: New Vegas gets more love because it's more like the old games. That I understand.

I started with Fallout 3 and I was uber excited for Fallout: New Vegas. My hype was through the roof. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but I just enjoyed Fallout 3 more. Maybe what ruined NV for me was how much of a buggy mess it was. That was terrible. Worse than anything Bethesda developed (Of course, the only games I know to judge this is Fallout 3 and Skyrim, since those are the 2 games I played at/near launch).

If you haven't, I'd recommend revisiting it. It isn't near as bad glitch wise now.

I want to. But I'm not too sure. I did play the game 3 times, so my opinion on New Vegas is pretty strong. I played Fallout 3 like 4 times, so my opinion on that game is also pretty strong.

Fair enough. If you have it for PC I can recommend a few mods to spice it up for your playthrough.
I don't, and even if I did, I couldn't run it. I don't even like playing Minecraft on this computer. And that game runs like crap for me.
Alright, well I tried. lol

For your trouble, a moustache smily. :{
So who got aboard the hype train with this: http://gamerant.com/fallout-4-reveal-three-dog/
