About 6 years ago I bought a Portable 2.3 Inch Casio TV for £7 in a charity shop (they thought it was a radio). I lost it about a month after I got it, and haven't looked for it since.

Today I found the TV in a bag at the back of a draw, this really annoyed me as Portable TV's won't work as they're not digital and are analogue, which has been turned off since the switch over.

Did anything like this happen to you guys? Good News followed by bad?

Also, I haven't actually turned it on as it requires 4 AA batteries and for the life of me I cannot find any, so it could work, but I just haven't found out.
I got a sound system/dvd player about a year ago. When I got it, one of the six speakers was completely destroyed, 3 more (including the subwoofer) refused to work, and the dvd player wouldn't work. I've since fixed the 3 non working speakers (the wires just needed a bit of messing around with) and the dvd player wouldn't work because there was a copy of Batman Begins stuck inside of it.
Few years back,i have found my old SNES.I was really excited to relive my childhood. But i made the fatal mistake of letting my cousins play with it and they lost the power cord to it.I am yet to find it.
A couple of months ago my elderly neighbor was having a garage sale, so I decided to browse and I found a Sega Genesis with a turbo controller and a bunch of games for $5, so I got it and tried hooking it up a few hours later, only to discover that she had lost the power cord and accidentally put the power cord for a hair dryer (which apparently was a separate apparatus), so the console was unusable.

Then I figured Screw it, went to a used game shop and bought a genesis for $20 just so I could play Shaq Fu. Totally worth it.

Oh, and as it turns out the Turbo controller was broken, just like my hopes and dreams.

I went with a friend today to buy an Xbox 360. But the controller came with a Play and Charge kit but not the cable. Pointless and annoying. Sold it within 5 minutes to CEX.
I once found a 20 mark bill from the couch. Too bad the country had changed the currency to euro at that point.

I also bought a Sega Mega Drive II from a flea market, without any cables. I had no idea it was nigh impossible to find any without getting the full console. Good thing it was only 5€. I did manage to go out and buy Revenge of Shinobi for it before realizing though, so now I have an unusable console (I don't even know if it actually works) and a game I can't play on it.
