I've recently got back into playing GTA4, and I've advanced in the story. I just did a mission that gave me access to a website that has the Police files on the inhabitants of Liberty City.

If you look up Niko Bellic on the site, you can see his first recorded Crime was Grand Theft Auto in 2008.

Here comes the amazing kicker guys.

Unfortunately I cannot find source, but it is possible to check this up in the game itself, if you have killed or by using a Police Computer.
