I'm new here and i don't know if this topic has been discussed yet, but I always hated Game Over screens because I always got to see them 5 minutes into a game when I was a kid. Anyway, just post any that you hated, made you laugh, or just motivated you to continue to that final boss.
Driver 3. That black and white screen that only stated "You died." has burned into my mind. Like no shit? I always felt that particular screen was mocking me.
Ghostbusters for the NES
Friday the 13th for the NES
Final Fantasy 8 for the PS1

That's about it really for me :/

The giggling dog on Duck Hunt. My little brother was TERRIFIED of it, so naturally I would miss the ducks on purpose.

The Adventure of Link, with Ganon's face and that laugh- HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAH.

No one has mention metal gear solid?!!

Even though it wasn't really. Wink

Playing this game at 1am in the morning, pitch black with headphones is not a good idea.

I think the most memorable Game Over for me is the original Tetris.

I will never forget that "BEEEEEEEEE" noise that announced the failings of my constant struggle to fit blocks (though I really like the score input screen so it's not all bad)
Rayman for the PS1. Dat music... And the screen (which is absent from the video)

There's not enough love for this game.
