(12-20-2012 12:49 AM)SERIOUSLY THOUGH Wrote: [ -> ]The most OCD thing I do in a game is replay sections because I missed some kind of event that made my character sad. I know it's just a game and that it won't affect the game but damn...
It culminated in AC:II when Leonardo goes for a hug. Now, I don't know if anyone else amongst you have played AC:II on PC but the action icons don't actually tell you what button to press. It doesn't go "PRESS U" it just shows some icon, and woe betide you if you haven't memorised every single button. I haven't been playing for too long and am not familiar with what the bloody icon that pops up on my screen represents so I frantically press all the buttons but too late... Leonardo just gives a sad-face and goes into his bottega...

I can relate, going back to Half Life 2, the game that permanently brained my injury, at the part where
You find Lazlo and his friend sitting there and Lazlo is murdered by sand lions, I think I restarted the level 20 or so times trying to save him, even after googling it and everyone said it was impossible. Eventually I managed to kill all of the lions as they came on screen, but as it turns out his death is just coded into the game. R.I.P. LAZLO - THE FINEST MIND OF HIS GENERATION

OH YEAH! I remember that. I saved so many times on that one area trying to save Lazlo. XD
That also reminds me of certain activities I do in games.
One of them is tempting enemies.
For example in Half-life 2, if you stand on the sand, it alerts sand-lions to come after you. I love standing on sand, waiting for them to spawn then quickly jumping to a safe area where they can't get me then they go back.
In Darksiders 1 you come to a sand area which a HUGE sandworm... thing. I love jumping into the sand for it to follow me and then running back on to a safe area.
In Gears of War there are these bat like creatures called Kryll. If you jump out of the lighted areas into the dark they'll swarm around you and dice you to piece. So much fun tempting them in Gears 1.

Ahhh yes, baiting the enemy
My favourite is in older games where just going outside of a certain distance from an enemy made you invisible. Just had to run slightly faster
"Look at me, enemy !"
"MUST KILL"
"Noooooooope"
"GODDAMIT"
It's probably because of how much I played Zelda games growing up but whenever I enter a room in a game I destroy anything the game will let me regardless of being useful or not.
I have these general OCD things in gaming listed above.
I also like to 100% every good game so I can make the most out of it. Even if it doesn't help me out and it's completely useless I'd just like to know I completely beat it.
Did anyone ever make sure when you beat a level in Super Mario Sunshine that it was cleared with muck?Hold on, lemme get that pile over there... There we go.Shit, there's more over there?
Also, I just realized I need to preview everyone of my goddamn posts to make sure I don't look like an 8 year old...
It has recently come to my attention that, if given the opportunity, I shall make sure my main character's stats are about even. And it's only the MC, because fuck the supporting cast.
I also learned if I have a map that is only filled in whenever you enter a specific area (Borderlands 2, Minecraft, etc), I have to spend at least half an hour filling it in to make sure I know exactly where to go for future missions/quests.
If a game has multiple endings, then I must see each and every single one unless I did not like the game.
This only pertains to the Lego games, but I have to, and I mean I have to, fill out that bar at the top of the screen in each stage.
Do about every side quest I can do and then proceed with main story.
Put on subtitles. (Which makes no sense because I can hear them)
For a choice aspect of the game, i'll pause it and think it out for awhile.
Collect about every upgrade I can get even if it means going back and taking awhile.
Only using shotguns on multiplayer.
I always need to have all my characters in about the same level. All characters. Even in Pokémon. Gotta catch 'em all is such a terrifying sentence to me... Yet I still do that.
I also used to try and kill every single enemy in an area. Well, unless they respawn which makes killing everything utterly pointless. I kinda learned out of this habit for a while due to Resident Evil and me just dodging everything instead of killing. Then I learned out of it again when the games changed course to a more action oriented way.
Whenever someones owns a game that i previously own,I ALWAYS nag them to do this or to do that.I remember when my bro owned soulsilver,I had a lot of experiences from pokemon games and seeing him doing it his ways makes me want to slap it from his hands and show him what to do.

I hate when people do that. I just think "Bitch please, let me enjoy my game my way."
I don't mind when it's useful things like "you missed a room with some ammo".

Man, I used to backseat game all the time, I don't do it anymore though because all my friends, and brothers hated it, I still need to consiously think that I just need to shut the hell up when people play games I've played before.
