In all perfect honesty, it is starting to look like Facebook. Except you have to scroll down 4 pages of things Facebook thinks you "might" like and people who you "may" know before you actually find what you wanted in the first place.

You know, I'm wondering if YT is actually going for the social media aspect.

I don't understand why we need social media BS though? Is there anypoint of changing what works to make it look like something else? Was there a need to change the format to make it look like a Facebook wall (I assume that's what they look like)?

What annoys me about the new layout is how much unused space there is

They're propably just trying their darndest to cover all their bases and only end up screwing everything up. If I want to share videos I go to FB and post them there. I don't need any social media bullcrap on my YT front page when all I want to do is watch videos. You know, the thing the site was originally made for.

There should be a button to get rid of that, but it is only available when the moon is full. (Or if you access that video differently.)

In my opinion, not as bad as I was expecting. I'll probably get used to it quickly and learn to like it.
The new menu layout is a bit strange, but you can change the layout fairly easily.
