I mentioned never finishing an RPG in the confession thread. I thought I'd just demonstrate my extreme unluckyness and lack of devotion.

• Disgaea: I was leveling up my characters when I got Disgaea 3. Kinda forgot I even had the original after that. No PS2 anymore either.
• Disgaea 2: Got stuck leveling my characters to beat Laharl and Flonne. I don't have a PS2 anymore anyway.
• Disgaea 3: I was progressing in the game just fine, then my PS3 died.
• Cross Edge: Same as above.
• Soul Nomad: Same as above.
• Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: I was playing this on an emulator, then my laptop died. Couldn't salvage the saves.
• Final Fantasy Mystic Quest: Same as above.
• Final Fantasy Legend: Same as above.
• Final Fantasy: Same as above.
• Final Fantasy VI: Stopped playing for the longest time. When I eventually picked the game up again I had no idea where I was and what I was doing.
• Final Fantasy VII: Trained my characters for hours on end and beat every enemy with ease. Then Emerald Weapon destroyed me in one swoop. Got discouraged and didn't really go back to it again.
• Pokémon Blue: Bought the game after having already played Silver. It felt too outdated and I quit playing somewhere around Lavender Town. Should propably pick it up again some time.
• Pokémon Silver: The cart's battery died just before the League.
• Pokémon Crystal: The cart's battery died halfway through the game.
• Digimon World DS: The emulator I was using is laggy as hell. Got fed up with it.

In addition to those there's a bunch of games I haven't had the time to even start because of work: Ehrgeiz, Cthulhu Saves the World, Breath of Death VII, Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls and Final Fantasy Anthology.

I currently do have four games that I still could beat at some point: Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light (only the last boss to go), Pokémon Ruby (training for the League), The World Ends With You (last boss to go) and Valkyria Chronicles (stuck at a boss battle).

I actually have beaten 7 RPGs but I don't think they should really count: Doom RPG (mobile), Doom 2 RPG (mobile), Wolfenstein RPG (mobile), Paradise Island (RPGMaker), Epic Battle Fantasy (browser), Epic Battle Fantasy 2 (browser) and Epic Battle Fantasy 3 (browser).

I just got my Xbox controller for playing PC games...and I absolutely love that dang-ass controller.

Hell, it's not even DMC anymore, it's a completely new series, taken on by another Dev.

This is what I've heard by the way, I've never played the series.

It's because button mashing scrubs think they know what DMC is. I see BS videos on why the new sucks and they talk about mechanics and showcase a video of them doing retarded mashing crap. YouTube any DMC combo video and you can see the level of skill these games take, but now the DMC fanbase has button mashing scrubs telling Capcom/Ninja Theory what's wrong with the gameplay. While the actual DMC players (even Truestyle Tournament players) have said the game is pretty good.

One series of games that I've always liked has been Dynasty Warriors.

There's something nice and satisfying in running around as an overpowered bloke hacking and slashing hundreds of minions.
Also the music is fairly decent and the voice acting is hilariously bad.

Has anyone else tried this series ?

I recently saw a video of Valkryia Chronicles for the first time, and I gotta say it looks interesting. I realize I'm a bit late to mention this game, since it's been out for a while now, but it's the first time I ever saw it. While I'm not a big fan of war games, this one seems like a way to slowly ease myself into it

I join my friends' game in Halo 4 and I ask for a party invite. I don't get one. I wait like 5 minutes and nothing. I text a friend and ask he his reply was "[Dude's name here] says no."

So, what? I can join your game and play with you, but you won't let me join your party? You're that freaking scared to tell someone no that you have to be this dumb and basically ignore me? What. The Heck. That makes no sense whatsoever.

It has happened before, too. Same guy and everything. I saw that friends were playing Gears of War 3. I joined them and played with them yet they wouldn't let me join their party because that one guy said no. Really? What freaking type of logic are you using? "Oh, I'd rather play with less people I know because it's more fun that way. Screw actually having fun. I'd rather have dumb teammates on my team who I don't know instead of someone I do know."

Seriously. I think he is freaking retarded. If you don't want someone to play with you, just tell them. Don't be a freaking baby about it.

A while ago I was playing Borderlands 2 with my friends. And I'd have a random friend of mine join the party (not the game since it was already full). I'd politely ask him to leave and he would. Is it that hard to be polite? I mean really? I'm just asking for some common courtesy.

I couldn't agree more. Not in online gaming (because I don't really play online) but on another forums when trying to get a point across. Why is it that people decide to ignore the most logical argument and just start talking gibberish and getting pissed off for no reason.

Good God I thankfully haven't seen anyone like that here. Yet.

Trying my hand at Chrono Trigger again, I nearly finished it, I stopped because of Lavos, but now I'm going to try again, right now I'm doing those side missions that help with fighting Lavos.

I swear these missions are worse than Mass Effect's loyalty ones...
