  • Los Santos is bigger than Red Dead Redemption, San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto IV combined. It contains a wilderness, military base, and underwater exploration on the ocean floor.
  • Players can switch between the three main protagonists “nearly any time.”
  • The protagonists names are: Michael (older guy), Trevor (a red neck, apparently), and Franklin (the African-American). Each has its own personality, skill set, and group of friends.
  • Characters you are not currently controlling will “g off and do their own thing.”
  • It’s the same world as Grand Theft Auto 4 and Liberty City, so recurring characters could occur, unless hey are form the PS2-era titles.
  • Randomized dynamic missions are back, and include “hitchhikers, muggers, and dead bodies.”
  • Players can form friendships, but there won’t be an romancing this time out.
  • Vehicles in the game include trucks, BMX and mountain bikes, ATVs, helicopters, cars, WaveRunners, dirtbikes.
  • Heists will be predominant.
  • Players can customize their look, but not through RPG elements such as with San Andreas.
  • Missions will be more fleshed out, and side missions will be more complex – think Red Dead Redemption.
  • Better driving controls were promised, as were improved shooting mechanics.
  • Melee combat has been refined.

Maybe it's time I got into GTA...
I have loved everyone before IV, the realism and general movement mechanics really killed my mood while playing the game. I really hope this one redeems it for me.
I just want a re-make/upgrade of San Andreas, including San Fierro and Las Venturas.
Bring back the atmosphere of GTA : SA and I'll be happy.

Oh wait, people nowadays want realism and ragdoll physics Sad

EDIT - Confused

EDIT - Confused

This for the love of god needs to happen. I started with GTAIV, but after playing San Andreas it's clear to see it's the best game of the bunch. There's no way we'll get another San Andreas, but damn it I can dream.
GTA III's setting with GTAIV's Physics and San Adrea's Gameplay.

I attempted a vice city make-over with GTAIII's map once...never could get it working,
So... you want ANOTHER game set in Liberty City? Is III and IV not enough?

I'm fine with the setting of V. Los Santos sounds nice.
Oh I never knew 3 and 4 were the same setting Confused It felt like 3 was a bit more actually like a city, less residential areas. That and it felt wider and more open. 4 felt cramped.

As much as I personally dont enjoy IV I think it's a very good game for the record.

No crap, why go back to the old city?

And you say I'm stupid.
No need to be that mean, Gardocki.

To me, IV felt like a game for Rockstar to show off exactly what their RAGE engine could do. They cared a little more about looks than gameplay. And you can tell with the DLC that they cared A LOT more about Gameplay than anything.

I absolutely cannot wait for GTA V. Hearing that it's going to be the size of San Andreas, IV AND Red Dead Redemption COMBINED gets me very excited (let me remind you, that the game will be roughly 1/4th the size of Just Cause 2).

Oh I'm just busting his balls.
Well, game sounds fun.I hope they will not mess it and I'm very curios what happened with the Groove Street. Can't wait.
I am excited. But not TOO excited because it's a few months away yet. But definitely picking this up. I loved GTA IV. I found myself interested in the story, the DLC stories and how they cross paths with each other.
Hope there is a PC release on launch. I found GTAIV has a low framerate on the consoles.
2nd trailer!!
