theres a message written in one of the walls from the DLC "the passing" it says: "Otis out of film, no helicopter, zombies ar too fast not going to make it - frank west" obviously this is a refernce to dead rising from capcom
also, theres a message from crazy dave (plants vs zombies), it says
"looking for an m60 come see me - crazy dave"

One of then (the frank west one) was in a DLC. I can't remember exactly what DLC it was, though.
And the other one, I have no idea.
Both of these DYK's are from The Passing DLC. They can be found at one of the bar after you pass through the place with billiard pools in them, I'll provide a screenshot if OP can't. Also, OP forgot that before you get to see those messages, you can sometimes see the Midnight Riders bus pass through.

Actually, all the graffiti in the pool room of the Passing are refrances to other zombie movies and games.
"Otis, out of film, no helicopter, zombies are too fast. Not going to make it - Frank West" is from Dead Rising.
"Went to save my dog. If I'm not back in fifteen minutes, everyone drop everything and come save me - Nicole" is from Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead.
"Ed is king of the zombies" is from Shaun of the Dead (I think).
"Repent the end is extremely f***ing nigh" is from 28 Days Later.
"Roger, went to mall, Francine" is from the original Dawn of the Dead.
"Looking for an M60? Come see me - Crazy Dave" is from Plants vs Zombies.

Zoey was originally going to be the main (silent) character of Portal until they decided to use her for Left 4 Dead and create Chell instead. But it does explains why Chell and Zoey both look so similar.
