-In Zelda: Ocarina of Time,in the Forest Temple,the 4 Poe Sisters(Meg,Beth,Amy,and Joelle) are all named after,or at least share the names of,the 4 women in Louisa May Alcott's story "Little Women"
-Also in Ocarina of Time,you may notice that,unlike the other trial rooms in Ganons Tower for each temple,the Forest and Water ones are off (The Forest is really a wind challenge,and the Water,an ice) That is because they were originally two differant themed temples,with the Forest Temple originally being the Wind Temple and the Water originally the Ice Temple. The only leftovers of these beta temples are the medallions for each)with the Forest's looking like a whirlwind and the Water's looking like a snowflake)the rooms in Ganon's Tower,and the Ice Cavern

In Zelda: Twilight Princess,in the temple Arbiters Grounds,you have to fight and retrieve the flames from 4 Poe ghosts,whom you fight in the exact way as the Sisters from OoT,most notably the final Poe
-In Zelda: Skyward Sword,at any point in the game before you go back in time to when Zelda puts herself in the crystal,if you look in between the cracks in the door inside the Sealed Grounds,you can see the crystal there,but due to the distance,you cant tell if Zelda is actually even in there
-In Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door,when you get Peach to take a shower during the times you control her,she will hum the first few notes of the Inside Castle Walls song from Super Mario 64

-In Wii Party,in the minigame Flashlight Fright,the briefing of the game starts out by saying "It's dangerous to go alone!" which.more or less, is an obvious nod to Zelda 1
