Mine is Cave Story. Sadly I can't play it anymore since my computer has awful screen tearing but anyway the game itself is great and there are a lot of interesting secrets to be found. Also some of the characters are hilarious such as Balrog.

Played the training sim and enjoyed a little bit of it, but it's not really my favorite genre of video games
I have a 'thing' for indie games. However, I am really picky about them, thus I haven't played a lot.
From those I have, Bastion is by far my favorite. Followed by Snapshot (which I'm in love with right now) and World of Goo.
I also tried Cave Story+, but the fact that you'd re-start at you last save point whenever you died (and you died a freaking lot) just pissed me after couple levels.

I tried to play Bastion on Chrome one time, sadly my graphics card isn't compatible (my PC sucks ). Also I'm not really sure, but I think they tweaked the physics in Cave Story +
Binding of Issac, if any of you have me added on Steam then you will see me on that game constantly and well not as much cause I finally reached platinum god so I just 100% the game.
Another one of my favorites is To The Moon, my god is that game beautiful and awesome and sad att he same time.
Knytt Stories is another one of my favorites just because the users can develop their own levels.
Here is an example of one such level that was popular back in 07-08 or so:
Finally Dear Esther (no not the HL2 mod) because while it does not have any gameplay other then walking around and exploring, the music and the locations you visit are so gorgeous they would just make you never want to leave (the cave locations in particular)
I'm not a steam user, but only because of money issues (and crappy PC) and if I was then I would like to have some free low spec games lol. Also I think they are ripping people off with games like Eversion HD, it's just an HD version of a free downloadable game (the HD isn't even a big deal) -_- and you have to frickin' PAY 4,00 € for it! Pay 4,00 € just for HD.
The day people pirated and torrented these so called greedy bastard are what i like to calll spoiled bastards. Come on people, how do you like it that you spent around 3 grand only to have wasted your time and lot money. That's why i stay off PC .

Basically the game is about 2 scientists that go into the memories of a dying old man because his final wish is to go to the moon, the story is just beautiful and deep and the music is really amazing. It has a lot of funny references and stuff like that to break the tension at great times. A must buy for indie lovers who like a good story.
