Just found this out today so I thought i'd share. Friend brought his ps3 over and we were trying to hook it up with my computer monitor with my hdtv next to it for my ps3. Have a DVI to HDMI cable that I used and after about 30 minutes of frustration and trouble shooting found out that unless you have a 1080 computer monitor you have to set your output to 720 or you will never see it. Hope this helps somebody, just thought i'd post since I found it out today.
