Also known as James Rolfe is somewhat of a celebrity in the gaming world. And I was surprised that, at least from checking the search results, no one has started a thread about him and his videos before this.
Now, he has taken quite a long break from his regular videos because, of course, he is working on the AVGN Movie.
Anyway, if you're not familiar with his videos, he does/did Game reviews for really bad/shitty games, and got pissed off at them, and...well, just watch:
Anyway, he doesn't only do AVGN, he does (or has done) other video's too, like console reviews, Board Games (or 'Board James') reviews, music videos, etc.
His website, Cinemassacre, is where you can see all of the content he's done.
I have been a fan since 2006 or so and enjoyed all of his AVGN videos and looking forward to the movie whenever that is released. It is so odd watching his more recent vids and comparing them to some of his first videos like Castlevania and McKids.
Watch his Area 51 2 parter along with his Ricky 2 (or something like that) video.
Bible Adventures is also freakin hilarious.
The only problem I have with the AVGN is that I have seen videos of him just being himself which breaks him out of the AVGN persona that he has going for him so it is hard to take his videos like I used to because I now have a better image of what he is like.
Still makes awesome videos and his board game reviews were always awesome to watch as well.
I've enjoyed his work since 07. I've felt on certain games he's had to push how bad they were, and he's even admitted that sometimes he's had to make them look worse then they are (like Karate Kid).
There's no doubt the majority of the games he reviews are total shit, but my favorite videos are ones where he drops the angry act and just talks, like the Pong consoles video and the Swordquest video. His console videos are always gold too.
I watch the Bullshit videos and the other ones he releases from time to time, but I normally don't watch any of his short films he's release. His Monster Madness every Halloween is always a treat.

Well yeah, he's playing a character. And he has to stick to that character, regardless of how he actually feels about the game (obviously his personal opinion plays a part in his character.) Anyway, I'm rambling...

I love The Deader the Better, and watch it every Halloween. It's one of my favorite short films he's made. The Jersey Odyssey - Legend of the Blue Hole is also really good. (Especially once you learn most of it was filmed in his garage).
If you're not aware, he also worked on "Piece of Meat", a parody of Britney Spears' "Piece of Me", including the blood-work.
AVGN is frikkin' awesome. He hasn't posted much lately (due to his movie production) but I still get a lot of enjoyment out of his videos. Nostalgia Critic is constantly making episodes so they still give you something to watch.

The hell is that video? Like... WTF is with the random cow birth? Or flaunting beef infront of Cows(even for James that's pretty effed up).

I didn't mean how he personally feels about a game, but rather how in the early videos he did things that made the game look worse then it was. I watched the "Making of" episode and he talked briefly about the early videos and how he didn't actually try to beat the games and purposely made them look worse then they were. It's not like any of them were real gems (although I like Simon's Quest), but I remember watching the early videos and thinking "this guys just isn't very good at video games". As he made more videos he finally started trying when he played, and for me that's when the videos got better because you knew he was trying but the games were so damn shitty nothing could be done to save them.
