The original Rayman video game contained over 65,000 colors. That is just mind blowing, I wouldnt be surprised if it was the most colors ever implemented in a video game at the time. Here's the direct link to the fact on Wikipedia.

Tidy bit of info
WHAT'S THE GODDAMN DIFFERENCE?
In the UK, they spell it "coloure."
ok, is this about rayman, or how to spell color?
There all right it is "colours" according to Wikipedia. Sorry about that my bad, anyways we shouldn't let misspelled terms get in the way of how awesome this game is. Its a pretty good platformer with many unique elements that the series is known for. Anyone ever play the original Rayman game?

Color and Colour are both right, it's like Grey and Gray
Yes, I've played Rayman 1 dozens of times. Hard as hell, that game.

Nope, Rayman Origins would technically be my first Rayman game, but I bought a N64 copy of Rayman 2 and bought an N64 along with it before I got Origins (as in, I went to a record store and bought an N64 and a copy of Rayman 2 and kinda played that before I bought Rayman Origins).
Its cool, all cultures are accustomed to their way of living. What I'm really disappointed about is this not becoming a DYKG yet =[ I was hoping for sure this would be successfully submitted. Looks like I'm going to have to scrape the bottom of the internet for more facts to contribute. I'm not giving up on my never ending quest for video game research and contribution
As a matter of fact I thought of a smart, cool tidbit right now.
